  1. I recorded some video using a Dazzle device. One of the audio wires had been crossed with a video feed. I now have a fine picture but a constant static noise over top of the normal audio sound. is there any tool that i might use to remove or limit this interference??

  2. The only thing that may help it is Cool Edit 2000 or Pro. I've removed hiss from cassette tapes before making CD masters. It works well if you fine tune the hiss levels. Be forewarned, you aren't going to end up with the same quality that was transmitted.

Also - if you recorded in stereo the noise may be on one channel only so disconnect that audio channel to watch and hear your video without the noise. You could play it out to another VCR or PC with a video card. If the noise was recorded over ( on the same channels(s) ) as the good audio your S.O.L. Good luck.
