I read that some USB 2 hardware encoders will work on USB 1 (eg. the Plextor ConvertX TV402U), and wonder whether anyone has any experience with this on a G3 400 or similar?

Bruce

I can't be bothered googling again, but if the Plextor is providing a MPEG-2 stream at 500kb/sec, why shouldn't it come over USB 1.1?

The ADS USB Instant DVD for Mac is a hardware MPEG 2 encoder that works with USB 1 on a G3 Mac. It was discontinued earlier this year.
