  1. DVD Architect refers to its ability to create 'multiple viewing angles' in a project. What are these and why are they used?

    Many thanks ~ John

The multi angle feature is not used too much on DVDs, but it does allow the viewer, at the touch of the Angle button on the remote, to see a scene as shot from different angles or in a different format. The different angles are usually related to each other some how. I've seen the multi-angle feature used a few times, but the one that comes to mind is O Brother, Where Art Thou? In the special features you can watch a couple of scenes from the movie in different formats. The first angle will be the actual footage from the movie, the second angle is the storyboard sketches that were used to lay out the scene, and the third angle was the two combined on the same screen. All of these angles are synchornized, although you can only view one at a time.

It is also used for Captions.
Let's say the title of the movies is
    ex. PLANET OF THE APES

there would be another angle for another language.
    ex. LA PLANČTE DES SINGES

I guess there's some script that attributes 1 angle for 1 language. I saw that in Toy Story DVD =||.
