  1. Hi all.

This is all new to me, so I'm looking for some kind strangers to help me out. I made my first VCD and it will play on my PC, but not on my DVD player (Harman Kardon DVD50). According to the manual and compatibility list here, it should work, but when I put the CDR in, it says "Disk Error."

I used CDRWin to burn the movie onto the CDR. Was there something I should have done afterwards? I just figured because it played on my PC, it would work on my DVD player.

    Any tips?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Are you sure its not an AVI file you burnt?
    Just a thought.

  4. Rather than going the whole BIN/CUE route, why don't you try making the VCD with Nero? If you don't have the full version, I think you can download a speed-limited demo version.

When loading Nero for the first time, just close the wizard that pops up, then from the next window you see, choose Video CD from the list of choices on the left. Then all you have to do is drag and drop a VCD compliant MPEG from the folder list on the right to the pane on the left and burn it. Easy. Works every time. Nero will even convert a non-compliant video for you, but it's quicker to just use TMPGenc.
