With the cost of -rw media dropping, it would seem to me better to archive my home videos to -rw than to -r.
Of course, I am using an assumption that because -rw are designed to be recorded over and over again that they are sturdier, perhaps less susceptible to damadge.
Am I wrong in this assumption?

Dont archive onto -RW they will have more errors and become unreadable far easier.
Definitely use write once media to archive eg -R\+R~Luke~
