Hi, i want to split my divx film in vdm, but i've a keyframe problem and couldn't cut it from my exact point. Someone said that you can edit the stat file, but i've no stat file (i use dr.divx for dvd2divx). There is no tool to add a keyframe so what do you suggest?

The only way I know of to mark-in at a non keyframe in VirtualDubMod it get out of Direct Stream Copy mode and reencode. If you have only a few cuts to make you can try the following:

K......1.....K..........K.....2....K...........K

K = key frame
. = non key frame
1 = mark out point
2 = mark in point
ie, you want to remove from 1 to 2

Save from the beginning of the file to 1 in Direct Stream Copy mode as FILE1.AVI.

Save from the first K after 2 to the end of the file in Direct Stream Copy mode as FILE3.AVI.

Switch to Fast Recompress mode and save from 2 to K after it with the same codecs and settings as the source file, FILE2.AVI.

Then join the three segments together in VirualDubMod with Direct Stream Copy mode. This way only the one short segment is reencoded.
