  1. Did somebody hear about a DVD player which can play cd (files) in divx format or is this just nonsense ? and if yes where can I find it ?

    I think its nonsense..I did see an add for one once but it was an april fools joke...Its unlikely you are ever going to see one..Why would a manufacturer support an unofficial pirate format.?..There is no official specs for Divx for starters.

    I have an Afreey LD2060 and that is probally the most flexible player on the market.,.it can play DVD/VCD/miniDVD/CD/SVCD/CDR/CDRW plus it can play raw files like MPEG/AC3/VOB/MP3 etc but of ciourse no divx

    there are no stand-alone mpeg4 players on the market


    does that afreey play raw vob files?

I've heard about a portable mp3/vcd/svcd player wich was able to play different files like ra/ram/vma/vmv with codec uppgrades like burning the codec on a cd put it in the player and then it will be stored in the player... so it might be able to play divx (if someone creates a codec for it) i don't remember the brand/model but it is not a big brand...if someone else have seen it please tell me cause i wanna buy it and i can't find it anymore...
