  1. I am having some serious problems getting this file to be converted to DVD. ffmpegX says its a psxstr file with no video and no audio. So I can't convert it to DVD. VLC plays the file okay(It does have a problem with the audio.. it says the file has 2 audio tracks.. with the first one there is no sound, but the second one has the sound for the file) I thought getting a different version of the file would work, but when I did I found out it also has a serious problem.. near the end of the movie the sound cuts out... it also has the unfortunate side effect that when I try converting the movie to DVD through ffmpegX of taking out the sound for the whole movie!!(I spent 3 days trying to work around it.. no luck)

I decided since I can't convert it I would just put it to VCD, but that isn't working either... Toast says the file is too large.. by a measly .5 mbs!! I went and found FirestarterX, a burning utility that supports bin/cue files and overburn, but that also isn't working.. it shows nothing happening when I select burn. After waiting a few minutes I went to exit out of the program and it told me a task was running so I decided to wait and see.. 2 hours later and nothing happened.. so I exited.

Can someone help me? I spent the last 5 days trying to get this thing on disk and nothing I have tried is working!! I really need some expert help on this one.

just out of curiosity, try extracting the mpeg from the .bin and demuxing that into .m2v and .sound file

if you can do this then its just a simple compile as dvd image.
I use VCDTOOLSX which TGPO has so greatly hosted for all these years after its removal

  3. Other options as I see them.

-Try a different brand of media since you are only missing 0.5 megs. Burning your current bin/cue is what will provide the best quality.

-If you are familiar with the Terminal, get VCDgear and convert your bin to an mpeg file. If you do not like the terminal, drop your cue/bin in toast as you would to make a vcd and then "save as disc image" when that is done mount the image file, find the big file in the image, change it's extension to mpg, I believe it's .dat on the vcd, and then use, in either of these cases, the mpgs with ffmpegx.

Since you are missing so little space, there is a chance that using one of those mpegs with toast to re-author a vcd without re-encoding might be possible.
