  1. i get an error everytime saying that the file is unreadable. the vcd works fine in my standalone dvd player, however it will not play on any of my computer players. other vcds play fine on all of my players. this disc in particular is on a media that will play in all of my players. i don't get it! did the person i got the disc from record it incorrectly? are the menus on the cd corrupted? any help is greatly appreciated.

  3. i know exactly the problem you are having.
the simple solution is to download CloneCD from where ever, do a search and then create a CD image of the VCD on your HDD, and it copies everything across without the error.

    Done this many times.

  5. your standalone player opens the dat as a track/stream.

your pc is opening it as an ISO file.

the file is damaged (or not closed)

try Xing mpeg player or windvd in disc mode.

If you actually want the file off, try isobuster, or DEMUX the file in tmpeg or womble, which causes the file to again be read as a stream.

    just remux after.

If the above don't work, then it's definately damaged. you could try vcdgear, but i've never had much luck.
