    Trying to capture to AVI from Analog VCR but the screen goes blank, I hear Audio, and the file is no good. I have updated to the latest drivers, but when I run the PC test from ATI it always comes back as "capture" FAILED. Can capture MPEG with no problem, but I need to edit in Premier 6.0. I am using XP.

    What drivers are you using and what MMC are you using?

    If your not using MMC to capture the problem is with your drivers.

    Thanks for the reply, yes I have an audigy sound card, but I am thinking that both the cap card and sound card need to be updated, since they are about 3 years old. With a fairly good budget, what would you suggest to replace them, I have about a 1,000 to work with?
