My mobo died yesterday, may she rest in peace. It was a very nice Albatron PX865PE PRO that I inherited from a gamer (I am not). The P4, 3.0GHz processor is still working, as is the 8x AGP video card and 1G DDR RAM, all of of which I'd like to use on the new motherboard. I've never shopped for or purchased a mobo, and I'm not exactly sure what to look for. I use this PC mostly for video capture/encoding/burning. Can someone point me in the right direction? My budget is $50-$150.

I have 2 of those mobo's and it works great with lots of features. -
GigaByte and Soyo make solid boards in addition to Asus. I've only used their AMD based boards, but my guess is that any of these 3 manufacturers would make Intel based boards with the same quality.

Yeah, that 865 chipset Asus is a great buy. You can bump it up to the Deluxe versions with more onboard features for a little more cash which is handy if you don't already have the PCI cards for those features.
