  1. Has anyone tried to download these movies off kazaa? I try to get them and they cant be played,"player error" in kazaa. Why does this happen? Are the video clips bogus?

  3. That seems a little stupid, since 90% of the video downloaded off kazaa are divx.

But thanks for the info, I just thought it used mediaplayer.

You have to have the codecs and all avi files must complete download before they can be viewed. This is not the case though with mp3s and mpg files. Hope this helps.

Actually it does play DivX now because I have the new version of kazaa. The old version would not play them and I haven't tried to play them with the new version until now.

Judging from the above post it doesn't work in Kazaa, but it does in Media Player? If it plays there I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as in the end you can play it or you can encode it to something else. The bitch is when you spend a bunch of time downloading a file that is fake and you can't do jack with it and you get disappointed.

  8. I always test it first, I wait until it download like 2MB of video, I copy the .DAT file open it with Virtualdub and direct stream copy it and see if its real. Alot of times the video quality suck,or its just nothing, or porn.
