Downloading movies / in a Torrent

Hello.

I am new to putting films on DVD-R, but i have managed to do one using DVD Flick.
I mainly use torrents, but i get a bit confused when i actually see the file i want, but i am not sure what all the other information is after the film title.....ie..2000 DVDRip XviD-aAF Can you tell me what this means, and how can i be sure DVD Flick can burn this to disk using imgburn

My last film i downloaded had " avi " at the end so i new that DVD Flick could support this, but how can i be sure that every film i download can be put on disk using DVD flick....
