I want to import my ac3 audio into tmpgenc dvd author along with my edited video. This is my process:
I am using premiere 6 to edit my video and wave audio. I am taking my premiere wave audio and converting it to ac3 using ffmpeggui.
I take my video (only), and run it through tmpgenc plus to make a dvd complient mpeg, encode.
so, now i have mpeg video and ac3 audio ready to import to tmpgenc dvd author.
Will this work, importing my ac3 into tmpegenc dvd author? I do understand that tmpgenc dvd has an ac3 plugin, but I am not connected to the internet, in order to have it, as it specifies I need an internet connection. I think I am in a bad position if this is so.
If I can't import ac3 into dvd author without the plugin, can you reccomend another dvd authoring program? I really like dvd author and it it easy to understand.

The AC3 plugin is for converting to AC3, if you already have an AC3 file then TDA will accept it as an input.

Have not tried it yet. I am in the middle of a project, so as soon as I finish
it, I am going to try it. Thanks for all the input everyone.
Someone also mentioned using mp3 in tmpgenc dvd author, have you tried mp3? I assume it is a bigger file than ac3, how is compatability with most newer set top dvd players? thanks for all the help

You can't use MP3 for DVD. The spec says it must be PCM or AC3, and PAL regions can use MP2.
    If in doubt, Google it.
