  2. DVD Decrypter? I used either that or DVD Shrink for my disc, Decrypter should work fine I'd think.

Well, I updated my DVD Decrypter, but I am still getting the error. I have used my DVD-Rom and my DVD+-RW with many of my other DVDs, so I know that that is not the problem.

    This is my error message:

I'm stumped here. I can't use DVD Shrinker. I get this error message:

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Much Love!

  5. Hmmm, weird you are having this issue. I just backed up Master & Commander 2 days ago using just DVDShrink. Of course, I had to re-author for movie only, which still had about a 74% compression.

Maybe trying a different DVD drive will work (nevermind, just re-read your post which you said you did). Maybe an issue with your disc? I've received an error similar to yours before when trying to back up The Rock. Didn't matter which drive I used or method, it always would crap out at about 80%.

Have you tried cleaning the disc?

I had no problems with this disc, and I used DVDShrink.

  7. It sounds like it may be the disc itself. You could try to rip it with DVD Decrypter and select the option of 'ignore read errors'. That or ISOBuster would be the last resort, short of trying to fix any scratches that may exist on the disc with something such as a disc doctor.

Tried the "ignore" option in dvd decrypter, but the whole process freezes up anyway. I also tried ISOBuster, but no dice there either. I will try another disk. Thanks all.

I tried cleaning the disk with window cleaner as advised by the website, but it didn't help. Anyone have any good cleaning advise?
