  1. Hi. I have of late yet I know not why been in perplexed misery.

Who in the the lands and coves of video, know the secret to unlock this question...

    The problem at hand:
    1) Say you have faithfully recorded, captured, edited, and finalized a dvd for every e.g. birthday, e.t.c.
    2) Now comes the time when you want to compile a best of dvd. Re-tracing every step in 1) is overwhelming. The easier way is to reopen the already finished dvd´s.
    3) authoring the new dvd should, be a brise because everything is native DVD language.

    Tried and tested modules are:
Womble mpeg video wizard, for the purpose of opening and editing in an vob file, or grabbed file on harddrive.
Workes to the point, fast reliable on test subjects.

Problem authoring the new files ends up in elongated rendering time.
    Tried module here:
    Sony DVD architect 2.

Wanted: Burning program that sets up playlist and needs no reencoding of the files.

    Is this posible?

There are a couple of ways of doing this. If it were me, I'd probably use DVD Shrink to isolate the parts that I wanted, and write them of to seperate VTS on the HDD. I would then use DVD Lab Pro to demux the VOBS within (probably only one vob per clip, assuming they are small), then author with menus/playlists etc as required. Shrink will take care of the video and audio. It isn't frame accurate, however the judicious (sic) use of chapter points and play lists can repair this afterwards.

You could also use tmpgenc DVD author to assemble everything.

If you are happy with what womble has produced for you, download the trial version of DVD Lab Pro from Mediachance. It is fully functioning, and will produce the DVD structure for you. You just need to burn it to disk and your done.
