  1. How can I make AVI file with MP3 audio? The uncompressed WAV is too large, I think. VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod does not accept MP3 audio.

    Thanks!

VD has no problem with MP3. I assume you are talking DIVX or XVID?
I use Audacity (Free) to convert WAV to MP3, then select that file with VD Mod from the streams menu, then encode.

Or load AVI, select WAV audio, load wav, set audio full compression, video direct stream (if it's already DivX or Xvid encoded) Set audio compression to MP3, save AVI.

It's a codec too, if you follow the link in Baldrick's reply.

  9. Installed Lame MP3 ACM (right click on .inf and install). Rebooted. It show up in VirtualDub Audio Compression choice. However, when I click on it, there is no setting on the right side. Am I missing something?

    Thanks!
