How to fix mpg's

I have some mpg's that are like 10 min long but will only play about 1 min and then you have to go back to the start of the mpg to see the next min over and over so you can watch the whole mpg.

VLC will play the whole mpg with out problems and quicktime is where the problem happens.

Can this be fixed so i can watch the whole 10 min at once?

I figured out what to do MPEG Streamclip fixed it.
