I have a 20" Sanyo Flatscreen TV that I picked up at walmart and I was wondering if I can just go straight from my video out on the back of my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro to the RCA jack video in on the Sanyo TV.
If so, what resoltions will I be able to get with a TV like this?
Here is what I found at the Sanyo site for my specific TV, but I don't know how to interpret the results.
Picture Resolution
260 lines/antenna input
400 lines/video input
Thanks for any help, Randy

Resolutions on a TV are slightly different than on computer monitors. I believe that the maximum resolution that a 9800 pro will output to its composite video out is 800x600. That will look fuzzy for computer type stuff (web pages etc...) but fine with an AVI file. I wouldn't use the Sayno for computer work, but for watching video files it will be good.
The best resolution that a standard definition TV is capable of is 640x480. The specifications for composite video do not support anything higher. Higher resolutions require component analogue or SDI (serial digital).
Hope this helps, or it might just confuse things more. I can never tell.Devlyn

TVs work as lower resolutions compared to computer monitors. Even movies look awful (in my opinion as ive connected my pc to a tv and tested it once).
