  1. Hello,

I hope someone could show me the link to answer my following questions:

    1) i got an AVI files extracted from DVD which contained two audio tracks in different language. How could i convert it into a VCD with both language intact or alternatively having the control of choosing one of the track when encoding it into mpeg.

    2) same probple, AVI files extracted from DVD with subtitles saved separately, how can i combined the avi with the subtitiles if i want to convert it into a VCD?

    3) which software is the best to extract audio file from a VCD.

    Thanks : :

    1. you can rip out the audio tracks with virtualdubmod->streams->stream list and click on the audio track and save wav or demux. You can't have two audio tracks on a vcd, you can have one stereo track with two mono tracks though(make a such with goldwave for example)

    2. click on EDIT and how to add subtitle in the hidden menu here to the left

    3. tmpgenc, mpeg->tools->simple demultiplex or virtualdub or goldwave if you want to convert to wav...you might have to convert the vcd dat to mpg first using vcdgear or isobuster.

Should be able to do it on the fly with AVISynth using ConvertToMono() and MergeChannels() not sure it handles avi's with multiple audio streams though so you may need to extract one first.
