  1. Major,

Having trouble extracting subtitles. Here's the error I get:

    #DEBUG: setac((0x00)) makes no sence!
    # list box dots=0 c=(?) ac=(?) mod=(0x00) line=2 m= 0 6 24 31 r= 17 0
    # list pattern x= 442 371 d=165 32 t=3 1

    (@@@@ etc...)

The upper char was not recognized. Enter correct ASCII char, "string" or 4 to 8 digit hex unicode:

This happens with every word. I saw a similar post and entered the two commands in terminal that you suggested with the following results:

    ls -l /usr/local

    total 0
    drwxr-xr-x 6 kurtport staff 204 2 Jan 01:17 include
    drwxrwxrwx 30 kurtport staff 1020 2 Jan 01:17 lib

    drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 23 Apr 2004 var
    drwxr-xr-x 10 root admin 340 20 Jan 20:52 vscanx

    ls -l /usr/local/etc

ls: /usr/local/etc: No such file or directory

    Thanks for your help!

  2. The OCR database path is now /Library/Application Support/ffmpegX/db/ so please check what you have at that location.

  3. Major,

Do I do this in terminal? Sorry not too swift with terminal... if not in terminal then how?

    Thanks,

    K.

  4. You can check with the Finder too. That location is not hidden and freely browsable by clicking on the subsequent folders (first Library then Application Support then ffmpegX).

  5. In that folder are 110 files with names like:

    db_1104660794.pbm
    db_1104670593.pbm

    and one other file:

    db.lst

  6. This seem normal. Are you able to send me to major4@mac.com a link to download a clip of your file, so as I can test?

  7. OK, I jumped the gun and I deleted all ffmpegx files and reinstalled. Now when try to paste in

    ls -l /usr/local

in Terminal I get my info, plus two returns (keystrokes) before I hit the return key at all. Weird.

Same issue as before when I try to extract subtitles only now when Terminal pops up, the two returns thing makes it impossible to enter the text correctly.

I'm left with a couple hundred Graphic Converter files in my save as location so that part is working

    It's a 1 gig VOB so I don't think I can post it...

  8. You could cut a 4MB chunk by using a terminal.app command like the following.

    dd if=path/to/sourcefile of=path/to/targetfile bs=4096k count=1
