It's true about the Ewoks. Wookie = E-Wok That's all that Lucas did to change the name. He was also embarassed about the Holiday Special, that he wanted to steer away from that design. However, the tree villages are quite similar, even if the Ewoks look a little more primitive. You see Kashyk in the SW Holiday Special. Match the views of Kashyk with the Ewoks homes in ROTJ. You can match Kashyk from StarWars Battlefront, too. What was strange is that some of the houses were brought to the ground in the Ewok movies, and made into Hay Huts. I guess Lucas couldn't make up his mind. However, in the Ewok cartoons, they used both, so it followed through okay, but it was definitely a stretch. Feasible, but still a stretch.
