i have a dvd ripped on my computer but when i burn the files to a dvdr and play it in my standalone dvd player the screen flips non stop but i can see the picture. when i play the ripped files on my computer the video plays fine. whats the deal? i have made plenty of dvds before and i have never seen this. ive tried 2 different kinds of dvdr media both have worked fine with other movies on my dvd player.
just in case u need to know my dvd player is a pioneer dv333. thanks for your help

Is it a foreign or import DVD? Sounds like a PAL problem if it is.

does it matter pal or ntsc on computers? and are there any pal to ntsc converters for dvds?

do you still have the original DVD, does that play OK in your standalone?

well i figured out that the vob files are in the pal format so i was wondering if there were any programs out there that would convert it to ntsc?
