screen fliping while dvd plays

i have a dvd ripped on my computer but when i burn the files to a dvdr and play it in my standalone dvd player the screen flips non stop but i can see the picture. when i play the ripped files on my computer the video plays fine. whats the deal? i have made plenty of dvds before and i have never seen this. ive tried 2 different kinds of dvdr media both have worked fine with other movies on my dvd player.
just in case u need to know my dvd player is a pioneer dv333. thanks for your help

Is it a foreign or import DVD? Sounds like a PAL problem if it is.

No.

Yes, try google. Or perhaps someone can point you to one. Or maybe you can buy a cheap DVD player that does the conversion for you. Many cheaper players do this, more expensive brand names are less likley to.

well i figured out that the vob files are in the pal format so i was wondering if there were any programs out there that would convert it to ntsc?
