snagit and camstudio only shows black screen not video..help

I installed camstudio and snagit, im trying to record a video audio stream from a divx player, but everything i try the video comes out black and theres never any audio. The programs work because i see the open Divx logo on the play back but once the movie starts it goes black.

Any ideas?

im not sure of this - but you might try turning off video acceleration to none and trying ..

it is a video overlay issue ... and in most cases can be overcome , i just cant remember how ...

if it a stream from a divx player though -- why not just copy the file itself ?

I did try copying the file. I even tried to put it through vdub and tmgnc, but when i did the video was all scrammbled. Very wierd.

But how do I turn of the acceleration?
