Hi, finally found a good site to help me out.

Ok here is the deal, I need to make a portfolio on DVD. Now, I don't have a dvd writer, but the school has one which i can use. One problem, they have a crappy software(idvd) and they won't allow anyone to add another one.

Now I have DVDit on my computer and I managed to do the whole menus and all at my place. Problem is, I want to put them on a DVD disc and the dvd writer is... yep at school.

So I read all those things called "DVD folder, Master" whatever.
I'm just wondering how can I put the dvd menus/movies etc. all ready on a folder on my computer( i would put them on a vcd but not enough space) and then divide the folder in two, put them on two cds(or more if necessary) and then go to school and put them on the comp's folder and burn them to dvd. first thing is does that work? second, how do I author the menus etc. on my computer instead of a disc.

Another solution I have been pondering is:

is it possible for me to do on dvdit a dvd menu and all but on a cd-rom. But I won't use the real high quality movie files, but instead a fake one that i will call "blabla.avi"(or whatever codec). Then when I go to school I transfer all the files to dvd, except the "blabla.avi" and replace it with the real movie(same name) and burn it at its place?

Those might sound like crazy ideas but I really don't know how to do this. Especially when my comp is a pc and the school's a mac hehe

if anyone can help me out in any kind of way, I would be very grateful
