Hi, I just encoded my first DVD, and when playing on my TV the video is zoomed in a bit. What is the best way to fix the problem? I encoded the video with tmpgenc at the regular aspect ratio.
Thanks for your help!

Is it juust a tiny bit, like maybe 5% missing compared to what you see on the computer screen? It's called overscan, it's normal.

hey thanks for your response. It's definitely overscan... so theres no way of getting rid of it?

The only way to get rid of overscan is to buy a Plasma TV.

You can add borders with an editor, in other words frame your video. Besides that no.

But to your question...Yes! -
Even if you do use that solution, which is tricky at best if you don't know what you are doing, you will be doing well if you can get the overscan ratio down below 5%.
