Oh.. well.. Virtual Dub did'nt find any Capture Source.. and I have seen in the guide for ATI AWI that you have to use some WDM wrapper thing.. but what's that?
    Thanx/

  4. Do a search of past posts and you'll find your answer... in fact, if you search for my name, you'll even find the post where I asked the same thing.

Basically, you need a wrapper so VirtualDub can find your video card. The easiest way to do this is to downgrade to MMC 6.3. It supports the wrapper, the newer ones (MMC 7.1, 7.2, 7.5) do not.

I have an ATI AIW 32 Meg card and use VirtualDub and AVI_IO all the time.

  5. Saying that the latest Wrapper is not support in MMC 7.5 is NOT A TURE statement, I am using MMC 7.5 ATI Card, and VirtualDub to capture all my video both TV an VHS with no problems. I have a ADM 1.7 Ghz with 120 GB Western HD. Check here for the Wrapper, after you unzip, right click on the INF file and install . http://shopgeo.virtualave.net/wrapper.zip

Thanks for the link on the wrapper.

I recently aquired an AIW 128 Pro. I believe it uses the same chip for capturing that all the other AIW's use. I am testing it out to see if I really like the results. If I don't like it I am going to save a few extra pennies for the DAZZLE DVC2 and see if I like it or not.

If this wrappper works for MMC 7.5 and I can get some decent captures from V-Dub I think I will try it out.
D/L MMC 7.5 and man it really made a huge difference from MMC 7.1.
I couldn't cap anything XXX by 480. It was doing the herky jerky and 50% frame loss. Now I am can 640 by 480 "dvd selection" from capture options with >1%. Any other suggestions to help capture.
