I have a Compro VideoMate TV Gold Plus capture card. I just received as a gift a front panel adapter (Koutech FPM920) that has USB/Firewire/RCA audio-video and S-video jacks.
My question (becase the "manual" that came with adapter panel is useless) is the S-video cable that came with the Koutech. It has an S-video plug that I know goes to the S-vid on the Compro.
But it also has a 1/8" in mini stereo plug. Does this go to the audio in on the Compro capture card?

BTW the Koutech FPM920 manual says Matrix on it and inside lists UB3 as the model if that helps.

S-Video is video only, you need to have something for the audio. I'll assume there is also a audio out on your card that goes to your soundcard.

Yes I know about connecting the Compro to my sound card, that is already connected. What I am refering to is the cable that came with the front panel kit that connects it's s-vid port to the s-vid port on the Compro. This cable has a 1/8" mini stereo plug along with the s-vid plug. Is it safe to assume that it goes into the audio-in on the Compro? The end of this cable that connects to the front panel kit goes on a connector marked Audio/Video and the traces on the board go to both the s-vid and the 3 RCA Vid/Audio jacks on the front panel.

You can connect it to the capture card or directly to your soundcard. After a quick glance at your cards specs I'm guessing it does what most cards do and just pass the audio signal onto your soundcard. Realistically the only thing most capture cards do with audio is provide the RCA jacks. You just have to make sure that your capture program is pointing to the correct audio input...
