I have two differnt CPUS operating xp SVCpkII
Using G05 in one computer with LG drive 4120, they only write at 4x, If I write at this speed I get sticky video.
The other machine has the 4160 lg drive, makes a coaster at 8x 50% of the time and at 4x makes sticky video too.
Either machine will write 4x riteks just fine.
The disks are the real thing from dvd-media sales.
Is it me or are these disks a problem?
TIA

There's no solution to fix the problem until now !
All the LG writers don't accept disk RitekG05 at 8x, it appears a problem of firmware :
http://www.ritek.com.tw/products/dl/PC%20Burner(dvd-r_rw)1213.pdfMinds are like parachutes. They only function when they are open ! -
My Optorite DD1205 (FW 120e) doesn't burn the Memorex branded RitekG05 at 8x either. They've been pretty reliable when I burn at 4x. Playback has been fine on most burns I've made.
