virtual dub--remuxing

i have an avi with wave audio,,i went into virtual dub--audio full processing--compression--mp3,,but the highest quality i am offered is 56kbs a sec at 22mhz,,,any ideas,,or better remuxing programs out there,,,thanks

thanks guys,,the lame mp3 did the trick,,i had it installed i think i just missed it in the list and used the mpeg3 choice

i remuxed a file with avi mux and now my 642 wont play it,,,i keep trying to use vdub to remux and it only outputs the silent avi,,i have to add 140ms to begging,which i do as +140 in vdub,,i go direct stream on the avi and the audio with skew added,but it wont add the audio
