Well here is my experience. Currently I burn on 4 drives at a time with Nero Ultra. I have 3 drives daisy changed via firewire and one drive on eide. The Firewire drives virtually require no cpu for transfer. This is another reason that FIREWIRE is superior to USB2. The eide does take more resources. I am using 4 pioneer DVR 108's at it takes about 8 minutes to burn 4 disc at 8x. If your looking to do more drives than four, you will need to purchase a special nero license or move over to Recordnow max. Here have a look at my setup. I have put my 4th Pioneer in an external firewire box. Burning 4 disc at 8x took less than 10 minutes. The CPU usage is at about 2% and the buffers sustained at around 89%
