I'm having a problem with my floppy drive. I've tried different disks and it never saves. Can someone tell me what's wrong?

Bad floppy drive maybe? Bad disks? That or your write-protect tabs are on. Sometimes there's also an option in the BIOS to turn off writing to floppies.

I'd suspect a dead drive. Of course, today it's cheaper to buy a 64Mb USB flash drive than to buy a new floppy unit. You might consider that.

But it's such a PITA to try to squeeze the floppy disks in one of those contraptions.Originally Posted by Forum Troll

But once you do, is it bootable?Originally Posted by ViRaL1

Depends on your BIOS. Some support it, most older ones and even some newer ones don't.
