Playstation 2 shortage in the UK

Sony have f***ed up big time this christmas with the PS2.
I've been trying to get one for my son for weeks and they are practically non-existent here in Scotland.
I know there are some on ebay but I'm not prepared to pay £200 for one.
Anyone know if, when and where they will be back in stock before xmas ?

I bought my PS2 years ago, hardly use it. It's good when I've got my mates around and we want to have a few races on GT3 etc. but otherwise my PC blows it out the water. No surprise there, then.

I don't know about UK pricing, but here in the US it's been $149 for a quarter or two at least IIRC.

We've got plenty of them where I work, they just introduced the new model of them.

I heard you can't install an HD in the PSTwo. I also heard that they're more prone to overheating.

Everyone wants one of the new mini PS2's.

I read an article in the paper this morning that there is a boat load of the stuck in the Suez Canal and apparently Sony are going to fly them out using Russian planes.

Slim PS should be able to use a USB HD, software going to cost $28. Not from Sony though ....

Come Dec 26th, prices of the ps2 on ebay should be under $149

You can still buy at ebay US or Uk.

PC World have some in stock and I ordered one by phone this morning.
(There are none in their stores.)
It comes as a bundle with steering wheel, one game and DVD remote for £149.99.
Just hope the bastard comes in time for xmas !
