this is not the first time i have seen this advice offered to ATI owners and it draws a question in my mind that perhaps someone can help with.

i use a Visiontak Xtasy Everything card with VirtualDub 1.4.5 to cap. VirtualDub uses nVidia WDM Video Capture (universal) as the device in the source box under the video pull down. i was under the impression that means it is using the WDM driver for capturing.

so my question is this, am i wrong thinking i am using a WDM driver and if i am not wrong why does the ATI WDM driver not work?
    peace out,

AWW MA! you know i'm not like other guys. i get nervous and my socks are to loose.

  2. I have read that the only software that will work with ATI WDM drivers is ATI's MMC. I have managed to get theWDM->VFW wrapper to work with the 4.12.6292 driver which is trivial since the driver support VFW. That was the only driver I had success. I 'assume' the folks that have the ATI Radeons were capturing using the wapper.
