That's seriously "messed-up" dude... The only possible explanation is someone in their packing department is holding a grudge against the company and is sabotaging their reputation.

Run, don't walk to blankmedia.ca for your next order; they seem to be treating people right in the packing department...

  5. Most companies use styrofoam or bubble pack to pad their packages. It looks like Tiger Direct used blank DVDs to pad yours.

  6. I always knew Rima was the best but I never would have believed how bad the others have become. I am still saving the boxes they used for anytime I want to ship something in a really solid container; they are strong enough to ship a tank.
Still a few bugs in the system...

    Surprising
I have ordered some stuff from Tiger before and I have not had any problems. Usually, it's very well packed.
    Nice pictures.

I'm very surprised. I have made many purchases from Tiger Direct and have always had excellent service. I have received all of my orders quickly and well packed in excellent condition.

    Nice pictures.
I have ordered before as well and all went great...

BUT remember these pictures are from 2 different orders the first one, then the replacment. I'm done with them now so are some of my friends. To get the replacment i had to pay again then wait for a refund. And when i got those replacments... well i didnt know what to think. I dont think this is some small mistake, even if it was. I'm done with them..

I've ordered a couple of things from T.D., and they were both shipped with "air-bags." I've always thought those bags were a bad idea. They do a poor job of keeping stuff protected. And what if the popped? Great photos!

  12. I have had great luck from TD with everything but DVD media. It was not a shipping issue just the media was god awful. ALmost put me off to burning DVDs. But so far they are great for other things with really good prices. Granted it was my first DVD burner and DVD spindle so I was new to the whole buying of good blank dvds so its not 100 TD fault. I was not smart enough not to buy crap. The burner worked great i just wanted to save time and get the media at the same time.

What a disgrace. I wouldn't even give such a company a second chance. There is absolutely no excuse for such poor packing. A store should have certain shipping procedures and it seems like TigerDirect just throws things in a box. Thanks for the heads up, not that I would have ever bought anything from that place anyway.

I always knew Rima was the best but I never would have believed how bad the others have become. I am still saving the boxes they used for anytime I want to ship something in a really solid container; they are strong enough to ship a tank.
Not to bring up an old issue but one of my orders from RIMA did not look too much different from that. I wouldn't ship a burlap sack of rice in the "containter" they used. However RIMA was very quick to give me a refund. That is a sign of a good company too.
