Let's see if this question can be answered.
I have an audio file that I made. However, in the background there is a "hissing" noise that is rather noticeable. I have tried re-making the again but to no avail.
Are there any audio filters out there that can alleviate this problem? Or at least, help it a little?

Use Adobe Audition. Find a silent portion of the audio and select it. Use this selcection as the sample for all noise in the clip. Remove the selcted noise from the entire clip. This works very well if the noise is fairly constant.
