    Bought some myself and the media code was MCC 003. When burned at 2x I get all kinds of errors and pausing through movies, but when burned at 8x not one problem.

    It depends on your burner. With my Benq 1620 I get great results at 12x with those.

    From my personal experrience sometimes I get worse burns testing new media at lower than recommended speeds than at the recommended or higher.
    Seems you do also.
