Dupsonics are TY? CMC?

PC Club has 50 packs of Dupsonic dvd-r's for $15.99 and the media info on the left says that they are TY disks?

Can that be true? think they're fakes?

I don't want to blow two hours of my time driving and $10 in gas to find out that they're either junk media or fake TY media.

There seem to be 3 ways to get the TY media code. Genuine TY sold as TY, repackaged TY sold by another company such as Fuji or Samsung, or cheap media made with a TY code that is not real TY.


There are a lot of fake TY discs out there. Supermedia sells some as Linkyo.

I would avoid these. Dupsonic is hardly a mainstram brand and I would be amazed if they are real TY.

If you look at the images here:

you will see that the case is not TY and the price is not TY when not on sale.

Also it appears as though they are an upgrade from Vanguard, another trash media.

Last I knew All Media Outlet had those on sale pretty cheap. They advertise made in Japan Sony quality. I thought about buying some awhile back, but after getting crapola discs in the past I'm a little leary of trying anything new, especially at those prices. If you do get them I'd be really interested in knowing if they were any good.
