  1. Hey, I have a Leadtek Winfast TV2000 XP Expert and whenever I watch TV, i get tons of lines when there is motion. People say this is de-interlacing, but won't other people complain about this too? I haven't seen people doing this. Should I RMA this board.

    Here is some sample video:

    Thanks!!!!

    That clip was deinterlaced.

I am pretty sure what you are talking about is the effect interlaced video has on a non-interlaced display (in this case your PC monitor).

I don't know what software you are using with your capture card but there should be a deinterlacing option. Use that when watching live TV on your computer.

For recording though, especially if you intend to later convert your AVI to DVD you do NOT want to deinterlace.

  5. Well, I'm using the software that came with the card. It does not contain an option for deinterlacing.

Btw, that clip was captured with that program. (Winfast PVR)

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks

Don't use that program to capture.

Unless you are capturing DIVX, that file is worthless as any kind of "test" for seeing your problem.
