  1. Mpeg2 file demuxed through tmpegnc. Left with 2 files.

    M2V=Video
    Mp2=Sound

    M2V through CCE leaves an MPV video file.

    Now, Pulldown is looking for an M2V File not an MPV so, should I run it before CCE or rename the file *.M2V and run it through pulldown after?

    This Mpeg2 file was captured NTSC.

    After encoding, just rename the file to m2v.

  3. Right in the middle of doing just that.

    umm. there are a lot of option.

    DVD2DVDR uses this pulldown and they come out fine. So, in a perfect world I should not have a need to change any of the option when I run the program myself.

    I guess I'll find out soon.

    Thanks

    Using just its default settings, pulldown will add the 3:2 pulldown flags and do nothing else. For most cases, this is all you need to do when backing up an NTSC DVD so the default settings should be fine, unless you have a particular reason to change them ie: change field order, change aspect ratio, set frames to progressive etc..

  5. As it turns out the time stamp in CCE was not set to Zero. So I rechecked the files that I had right after encoding. Both the video & sound had the same time. Remuxed them in Tmpegnc. The mpeg doesn't seem to play right in WMP. I think I'll burn it to a disk and check it on the standalone.

  6. Let's see where I'm at.

    Audio file is 1.42.27 (total Time)
    Video file is 1.42.27 (total Time) after CCE
    Muxed file is 1.42.27 (total Time) after Tmpgenc

    Plays fine in Windows.

    Audio lags behind video when played on stand alone. Tried 2 different burning software.

    The Min bit rate for CCE is set to 300. I think I read here that, too low of a bit rate makes it hard for the player to decode the file.

    Any thoughts?
