I am looking for about 50 to 100 DVD Amaray type cases to get. I want the double kind. I have seen the kind that have a "hinged door like holder" for an additional DVD in the middle. These are the kind used with the STAR WARS Episode I & II and Spiderman DVDs. I have also seen the double case that has an "attached-round" piece that is on the backside of the front (ex. Beauty and the Beast). I would like to get white if possible, so they can be distinguished from my other DVDs. I have seen these other Double DVD case that have provide a hub on each side of the cover- I don't know anything about these, but they look like they would fall out easily and get scratched by having contact with each other. I have went to several sites and one thing that is irritating is that they don't show you a decent-enough picture of the hub, so that you have an idea of what the case is like. I don't want those cheap kind of case like AOL cases where you have to practically destroy the disc to get it out of the case
    .

Here are some that I have seen. Anyone know the pros and cons of these?

    Thanks in advance.

Hey, I didn't even notice until now....I've been here for 2 years. Time goes by too fast.

    Hello,

I have purchased quite a few from Ebay and here is what I have found.

The double AMARAY cases with the Flap (like you mentioned for star wars) are the best doubles for sturdyness and somewhat better and unbreakable hubs. The doubles (left right sides) vary from Good to poor. The best have a BUTTON type center hub, raised with a rounded top.

There are some bad ones I have received FREE with DVD's that have center hubs that break. They have a VERY SMALL center.

    Here is a good type

    here is another

I will get you a picture from home of the types that HOLD and the type that break...

I found some cool cases. These cases are, in some ways, better than Amaray (hard to believe). Did anyone get the DVD, "STUART LITTLE 2"? That's the kind of case they are. There is one thing they can do that Amaray Case Cannot do: (A TEST) I place a DVD just on the hub of the case and I did not secure it. I did the same thing with the Amaray case. Then, I close both of the cases in this situation. I then moved each case slightly up and down. I opened both cases and guess what: the DVD in the Amaray case was at the bottom not in it's proper location (this is why some DVDs get scratched). I opened the other case and the DVD was in it's proper place. I did this several times just to be sure and the secret is this little tab hold the DVD in place when case is closed. Amaray cases still rock though and I will not replace them, but these cases are just as good.

  7. They look like the nice one from NexPak If so they are super strong. IE after you close them they are hard to twist unlike the normal cases you find out there.

This case { Pictured below } is also from NetPak and greate since they only take up around 1/2 the width of a normal DVD case. It wont take a book inside but does lock the disk ok.

Oh, sorry, you can get them at http://www.sleevetown.com . You can get 100 DVD cases with inserts for only $39 which is not bad at all. They only have black, but black is the standard, so that's cool. Shipping is not cheap, but it's not real expensive. Those Ebay sellers charge way more than that though and those are usually generic cases, whereas this is a *name brand* case.

Here is a picture of some other Nexpak case they have. They look very similar to the picture posted above only they are clear. Pretty cool looking though.
