  1. Hi again!

I followed the tutorials and produced my MPG files on TMPG. I then got Nero and tried to burn my MPG onto a VCD. It comes up with an error saying that I have not encoded it in the proper format.

Did I miss something in TMPG? I followed the instructions to the letter (I thought!).

Also, my 1 hr tv show with commercials edited out is about 460,000 KB. Is it normal to only be able to fit one per VCD or can I compress the file more? I used Huffy.

    Thanks!!

you must have (maybe not on purpose) made a XVCD. tell nero to ignore compliant and burn anyway.

If you make a strcitly VCD file you can put 80 minutes of movie on and 80 min cd.

  3. I guess I did make an XVCD but it did play on my DVD player.

The sound is terrible on the finished product even though the MPEG sounded great on the computer. Is that a problem with XVCD or a problem somewhere in my settings?

I think that nero does its own coverting and accepts avi format, try loading the original file into Nero and see how that works,(that is if the original is in avi format)
