I have got a problem where the subtitles for the foreign language on films is not automatically selected to play [where as the original does run it automatically],, the sub streams have been ripped correctly and r still selectable. I dont want to have to encode the film with the subtitles as part of the picture as im ripping a dvd across to a blank dvd. I was just wondering if anybody knew how to force play a subtitle and/or a program that can do it, Thanks..

Yes, you're on the right track.
It's called a "forced start" meaning that the subtitles will show no matter what.
It can be set in programs such as Scenarist and Maestro (i think) and it may be possible with a program like IFOedit but I don't have any experience with IFOedit so I can't help you there. -
Thanks,, ive not used either of the 2 programs you suggested,, do u edit the IFO files with them? Cheers for the reply
