I was going to author a DVDR using Sonic's MyDVD, but then I noticed that MyDVD's disk space gauge displayed my MPG as taking up about 30% more space on the DVDR than it did on the hard drive. For instance, one MPG was about 450 MB on the HDD but MyDVD predicted it would use about 650MB on the DVDR.
When I tried using Ulead's Movie Factory 2, it predicted that the 450 MB MPG would use about 450 MB of space on the DVDR, as I expected.
Can anyone tell me what's up with this? I don't see any reason to use MyDVD anymore because of this...

MyDVD reconverts the audio to pcm(around 10 MB/minute). It does not support mp2 or ac3 audio(2-4MB/minute).
