  1. Well i was wondering y in my portable audiovox y some dvd-r would play ok and some would stop and squeal thru the whole movie (know most of u dont remeber the first post) but i notice something.... all my dvd tht i burn and put a cvr on it is the ones thts having the problems..... its squeals real hard first then finally in the middle of the movie or near it begins to start stoping and starting again.... my question is does dvd cvrs cause play back problems.... so far its only in my portable player.... also i use the dvd covr thing from best buy where u stick the paper on this little round thing and it sticks it on there perfectly.. Can it be something with the ink tht i am printing with from my canon???????

  2. I take it you mean you are adding a sticky label on to the top of your DVD's. My guess would be that you are making the discs too thick for the sapce in your portable, hence the sticking and squeeking.

  3. yea... the ones tht sticks on the top/// i looked at it and tht dont like the problem.... the paper is so thin how could tht happen???? also even witout the covers its start out screaming but then after a while it kinda quiet out a little but its not as quiet as a regular dvd. Would it have anything to do with the lazer reading it or anything?????

  4. My friend... you really didn't see some of my earlier posts right ??

The labels REALLY make the discs impossible to read, not only in my standalone players but also in my Sony dru500 drive.

THIS IS A FACT !!! and i'm possitive of that.
If someone as no problems with labels I wonder what they do for that to hapend.

.. and yes.. many people had the same problem as I and you.

    DO NOT LABEL !!

  6. Are those paper labels or stamped ink (do not know the words) ??

The "original" movies do not have a PAPER label !

Anyway try what you want, experiment everything... one thing i'm 100% sure: ALL the dvds that I label wont work perfectly anymore, with others not labeled (same brand, same burning process etc) I have NO problems !!
