I'm having an interesting problem with subtitles that I just can't seem to figure out. I rip a movie with dvddecrypter, using ifoedit to just get the movie only and burning with nero. Everything works fine except that I can't get the subtitles to come up with I'm playing my burned dvd. I know that I've ripped and burned everything correctly, because I only get this problem on certain movies (ie. The Ring). It seems that some movies, in order to "turn on" subtitles, I need to go to the main menu. This seems to be the case in the original movie also (I just can't play the movie and turn on subtitles, I need to go to the main menu to do so). The problem is that my burned dvd has no menu, only the movie. I made sure to use the "remove p-ops" option in ifoedit, but that did not help. Sorry for the long post, but does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

ain't this option prohibited in the corresponding .ifo file?? (not video_ts.ifo!!)
VTS_PGCITI -> VTS_PGC_1 -> 'prohibited user operations'.
make sure they're all unchecked and Save the file.
sorry, but I have no other suggestions.
