DVD-CX875P success in playing DVD-R

Hello....

I'm a little new to this forum, but I have been buring things on disc since 1996. I just started to try and burn some single layer DVD's and play them on my DVD-CX875P (Sony 301 disc changer). I had a little trouble at first, I burned a disc with DVDDecrypter using iso read then write to burn the disc.

Results:

ISO write to TDK DVD-R media at 1X failed (Player displayed disc dirty message)

ISO write to 3M DVD-RW media at 1X failed after 1 time of playing a few minutes (Player displayed disc dirty message)

File output from DVDDecrypter and then write with Prassi to 3M DVD-RW at 1X successfully played with no problems.

I seemed to have achieved success by wrting the video ts folder to DVD-RW using Prassi with the following parameters:

Choose New project then DVD Data disc

make sure that recognize and format video and audio ts folders is checked under settings

I also chose UDF format with long file names

I will try DVD-R tomorrow and also list the media and other things I try during this process.

Update:

File output from DVDDecrypter and then write with Prassi at 2X to Comp USA DVD-R (Plays Fine)

Now the comp usa media seems to fail after viewing it twice. I decided to choose apple.

DVDDecrypter file output and burned at 1x with Prassi on Apple DVD-R (2X) was successful and both movies I did play fine over and over again.
