  1. I have already asked a few people on how to resolve this issue but nothing has worked so far. Thank you to those people who already tried helping (you know who you are.)

    I have two files of Lord of the Rings: Two Towers (each 86 or more minutes) that are in xvid format. Here is some info on the file:

    Audio = MPEG Layer-3,135 kBit/s, 48,000 Hz, Stereo
    Video = 640 x 272, 24 Bits, 126417 Frames, 23.976 Frames/Sec, 136 KB/Sec, XVID

    The two video files are in 23.976 fps but i'm wanting to make it an SVCD. Problem is that an SVCD uses 29.97 fps. I've tried converting the movie to svcd before but the video is too fast for the sound (out of sync) and the movie is jerky. Could someone give me some detailed instructions on how to get the best results in this conversion. Also should I strip the audio from the movie too?

  3. well what i do is i strip the audio out first with vdub. then i just use the wizard in tmpgenc and load the audio and video files. normally i use 2 pass vbr long sustained format svcd template. that way i can fit about 100 minutes on a cd and the quality is still good. there are better templates out there but i am happy with what i have. but if you try to encode a non standard svcd it might not work in you dvd player. i am lucky the one i have can play any kind of mpeg.
