  1. Question one, I have successfully turned a DVD9 into a DVD5. 2 problems have arised though, I ripped X-MEN, the picture and audio are great, but the movie stops when it get's to 75%. If I skip menus, the movie is complete. 2, these ripped DVDs do not play in my Playstation 2. Now I know my Playstation 2 reads DVD-Rs, I have created DVDs that play.

Question 2, what is the prefered Burning software for DVD-Rs?

Question 3, I have download many Divx movies, but when I use Ulead Movie Factory, it always says the movie is too big. Now I find it hard to believe that a file that is under a gig is too big when it's converted.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. You should research all of these questions on this forum as they have been asked and answered countless times.

    Quick response:

    1) If the movie stops towards the end, it is PROBABLY your media. What brand of DVD-R are you using and what burning software are you using?

    2) There is no "preferred" brand of DVD-R's As no two people have the same, identical systems, burners, standalone players, etc...it's to each his own. If you want something where I have not read ANY errors or issues with, then you should try TDK disks or Maxell disks, both of which can be found at CompUsa and/or Office Depot.

    3) As I don't deal with DIVX movies because I think the quality sucks..I can't answer that, but there is definitely something wrong with those movies in general, because to my knowledge, even those d/l'd movies are 4-7 GB's. But if for some reason that is the file size after your output,I would go to ulead's site and read documentation on how to use that proggy. Good Luck
