i have to video sources. one much much better then the other. however one that is so clear has spanish audio and the other video source that is not very good has pretty good english audio. what is my best option to rip the audio from the AVI video that has english and replace the spanish on the other video?

You could use Avidemux....Load avi and extract/copy only the audio to HDD...Next load avi again, and this time in Audio settings, choose the external audio as source and save a new .AVI...
